TYPICAL ROOM ENVIRONMENTS: DESIGN PHASE

Decisions effecting Audio Visual Requirements

To achieve optimal usage of space, in each given scenario, there are a number of technology design decisions made during the initial design process:

  • Acoustical solutions to manage sound bleed and increase speech intelligibility
  • Correct location of audiovisual technology to ensure good sightlines for all users
  • Selecting the correct display technology type and size
  • Management of ambient and artificial lighting conditions

It is important from the outset to think how audio and video will be used in each different scenario. A perfect design in audio visual control will speak for itself, with very little need for training. It should be easy to use and as simple as using an application on your phone.
